About Us
The UMID Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of young students in Uzbekistan. Our goal is to supply educational books, school supplies, and English learning lessons to primary or secondary school students. We hope you will help by volunteering at future events and subscribing to the email list to accomplish this mission. Events
Community-led book and supply drives every other month at local schools and community organizations geared to helping students. Click learn more to see our ongoing impact and pictures from past events!
STEP 1
Start by subscribing to our monthly email list to stay up-to-date on future events. If you are considering volunteering, fill out the volunteer form under the volunteer page. Once you click on the page, complete the form, and the next steps will be emailed to you shortly. If you are a student volunteer, our hours will contribute to your graduation requirement hours.
STEP 2
After subscribing to our monthly email list or filling out the volunteer form, please look at our events page to see all our active book drives and our impact in supplying books or English tutoring to students in Uzbekistan. If you are a tutor, please review our emails that are sent to you, which will let you know the following steps, and stay posted for any new updates in the tutoring process.
STEP 3
At the end of each book drive, stay in touch for the event statistics that will be sent out via subscriber email and posted on the website under the events tab! Pictures and videos will also be included. Stay tuned to when the books and supplies will be shipped to schools in Uzbekistan, as we will keep you updated on our impact! Those who are volunteering ensure that you are enthusiastic and tutor your student to the best of your abilities!
